  • Paris Paloma Announces Debut Album “Cacophony”, Shares New Version of “LABOUR (the cacophony)”

  • British singer-songwriter Paris Paloma has announced her debut album “Cacophony” will be released on August 30, 2024.

The album comprises a 15-track, featuring a guest appearance from Old Sea Brigade, including her smash hit “LABOUR”.

Paris Paloma said of the album, “From this chaotic cosmic yawn, creation sprang forth. So this is a collection that makes sense of the overwhelming space of my mind where my anxiety, my OCD, and trauma processing lives.”
She continued, “I love the feral, feminine aspects of my music. Being unapologetically vulnerable feels wild – it’s breaking down boundaries, a return to something primal”.

She has released a new version of “LABOUR”, entitled “LABOUR (the cacophony)” along with music video.
The original version of the song was released in March in 2023. The song went viral on TikTok and received 1 million streams on Spotify within 24 hours of release.
The new version features more than 100 fan vocals throughout the song. The track was written by Paris Paloma, and produced by Justin Glasco.
  • Paris Paloma shared on social media, “A massive thank you to the over 350+ of you who submitted your voices & videos to be a part of this project. The music video, comprising of all of your videos singing along as well as you artwork, dancing, illustrations and animations inspired by this song. This has been such a meaningful project to me, I feel so empowered by all of you and it is so wonderful to have a work like this where all of you came together to make it what it is. Thank you.”

  • “LABOUR” is inspired by Madeline Miller’s 2018 novel “Circe”.
Paris Paloma told NME, ”When I was younger, actually, I wanted to be a writer, and at some point in my early teen years, my hobby for creative writing turned into songwriting because I found it was a more emotional way for me to convey things, and also have that sense of narrative and world building. There’s definitely genres that I would say really influenced my style of songwriting. I’m a big fan of gothic literature. I think literature is such a rich informant of songwriting.”
