  • Collective Soul Releases New Song “Mother's Love”

  • Back in February, American rock band Collective Soul, consisting of Ed Roland (vocals/guitar), Dean Roland (rhythm guitar), Will Turpin (bass), Jesse Triplett (lead guitar) and Johnny Rabb (drums), announced that their double album “HERE TO ETERNITY” will be released on May 17, 2024 via Fuzze-Flex Records.

It is their first studio album in two years since the 2022 album “Vibrating” and comprises a 20-track.
The band recorded and self-produced the album with co-producer Shawn Grove at Elvis Presley's estate in Palm Springs, CA.

The band lead singer Ed Roland said of the album, “30 years (yeah) you're damn right to believe we still do our gig with an audience across the world is such a dream. Speaking of dreams, as a kid determined that rock n' roll was my life, I dreamed of making a double album, well here you go! HERE TO ETERNITY recorded at Elvis' estate in Palm Springs, CA. Wow, Wow, and Wow. 20 songs that truly show the personality of this band and our musical journey! This recording is not the pinnacle of the band, but it's the best one yet! Shouldn't we all feel the next day as our best? Well, enjoy our best till the next one.”
  • From the album, the band unveiled the first single called “Mother's Love” on April 11, 2024.
The band first performed the song at Detroit Music Hall in June 2023.
The track was written by Ed Roland, Dean Roland, Will Turpin, Jesse Triplett and Johnny Rabb. Produced by Collective Soul and Shawn Grove.
The track features a guest appearance from Paul McCartney guitarist Brian Ray on slide guitar.

Ed Roland said, “I happened to be walkin' down the street and I had met [Paul McCartney guitarist] Brian Ray a couple of times. I saw him and was like, 'Brian, hey man. Why don't you come over and break bread? We're up at Elvis' house.'”
On convincing Brian Ray to contribute to the sessions for “Mother's Love” on short notice, he added, “I'm gettin' pretty sneaky in my old age.”
