PinkPantheress Releases New Song “Tonight”
London-based singer-songwriter PinkPantheress released a brand new song “Tonight” along with a music video directed by Charlotte Rutherford on April 4, 2025.
The song is her first solo music in almost a year since the 2024 single “Turn it up”.
Also, the song will appear on her upcoming sophomore mixtape “Fancy That”, which is set to be released on May 9, 2025 via Warner Records UK.
As the single, the song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “True Religion” with Shygirl, Club Shy, and Isabella Lovestory, which was released back in January.
The track samples American pop rock band Panic! at the Disco's “Do You Know What I'm Seeing?”, which is featured on their 2008 album “Pretty. Odd.”.
The track was written by aksel arvid, Brendon Boyd Urie, Count Baldor, George Ryan Ross, Jonathan Jacob Walker, PinkPantheress, and Spencer James Smith. Produced by Count Baldor, PinkPantheress, and saksel arvid.
PinkPantheress said of the song, “I'm so excited to finally bring out the first single of my new project, I hope everyone has as much fun listening to it as I do.”
She shared on social media, “The tonight video + single is officially out everywhere!! I hope everyone loves, i'm putting everything into this era because I love the music so much! Truly my proudest work.”- The new mixtape was written and produced by PinkPantheress, featuring collabrations with aksel arvid, Count Baldor, phil, Oscar Scheller, The Dare and others.
The mixtape features samples and interpolations from Panic! at the Disco to Jessica Simpson to Basement Jaxx..
PinkPantheress said of the mixtape,“Announcing this tape marks a huge milestone for me as an artist, this feels like the most tied together project i've applied myself to as an artist and for my fans who have been with me for years, I hope they can hear the signs of growth in me as an artist.” -
Back in August 2024, PinkPantheress announced the cancellation of all of her remaining live performances of that year, citing health reasons. The new song marks the official return.
At that time, she said, “It is with the heaviest heart that I sadly have to announce that I will not be able to continue with the rest of my live shows this year in order to focus on my physical health and overall well-being. t appears I have reached a wall which I am struggling to penetrate through... I'm sad to disappoint anyone and can only hope we will be in each other's company once I return to health.”
