Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ AURORA Premieres New Song “Some Type Of Skin” on BBC Radio 1
Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA premiered a new song “Some Type Of Skin” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is the follow-up to “The Conflict Of The Mind”, which was released back in January.
It was written by AURORA, Chris Greatti, and The Earth. Produced by Chris Greatti and Aurora Aksnes.
The accompanying music video was directed by Kaveh Nabatian.
AURORA told Clara Amfo about the song, “This song is very much about the act of the building our skin. So I guess finding the perfect balance between building up skin so you can protect what's soft in you against what's harsh in the world, but also making sure you let enough light in so you can let what's beautiful into your soft points. And if you find the balance between both I think life can be such a heavenly thing on earth. That it's a lot to be human that as I say it's so much.”- She continued, “I just realized when something pushes against me I tend to bleed. And I found it to be something that held me back from enjoying life as much as I could. So I just thought I should deal with that a bit and writing about something helps me deal with things sometimes but not all the time because I rarely write about myself.”
