Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Friday Pilots Club Releases New Song “We Don't Wanna Talk”
Back in February, Chicago-based rock band Friday Pilots Club, consisting of Caleb Hiltunen (vocals), Drew Polivick (bass), Sean Burke (guitar), Sean Burke (guitar) and Eric Doar (drums), announced their debut album “Nowhere” would be released on May 9, 2024.
The album comprises a 12-track, produced by Friday Pilots Club and Chris Lyon.
The band lead singer Caleb Hiltunen said of the album, “I've been obsessed with sexy-sounding music for a long time. But I've also been chasing a sound that's a little bit more intimate. There's a darkness to it that is not sad. It's more moody. I don't think we could have done that as well three years ago. There's an undertone of it on the album which makes me really, really, really excited.”- From the album, the band released a new song “We Don't Wanna Talk” on March 21, 2024.
The song is the third single off, following “Spectator” and “Vampire Disco”.
The track received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Indie Show with Alyx Holcombe.
It was written by Caleb Hiltunen, Chris Lyon, Drew Polovick, Eric Doar, James Kourafas, and Sean Burke. Produced by Friday Pilots Club and Chris Lyon. -
Caleb Hiltunen said of the previouse song “Spectator”, “Spectator is the dark passenger and the undying inner critic. In the wake of major changes in our lives, we must choose whether we will go on experiencing things from the driver’s seat or safely spectating life from somewhere outside of ourselves. This song is an ode to that choice and embodies the vision and sonics of the upcoming album Nowhere.”
