Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Birds of a Feather Releases New Song “Fragments”
Switzerland folk duo Birds of a Feather, consisting of Amy McKay (vocals/guitar/piano) and Ryan Leon (vocals/guitar/banjo), released a new song “Fragments” on April 19, 2024.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming third studio album, following the release of “Counterforce” back in February.
The track was written by Andreas Käppeli and Tanja Bachmann. Produced by Ger McDonnell.
The duo recorded the song in Ireland.
The accompanying music video was filmed by Birds of a Feather.
Amy McKay said of the video, “Dancing was one of the things I (Amy) kept a secret as a teenager. I would only dance behind closed doors. It was one of the things I felt I had to protect from criticism. So making this video scared the sh*t out of me. It was the first time I was dancing in this kind of way in front of anyone else. Even filming it with my two soulmates, Zoe and Ryan, made me so nervous that I could hardly sleep days before the making of the video.”- She continued,”But what do they say? 'Whenever confronted by a ghost, don't run away, walk straight into it and it will disappear.' I did not only walk into it, but I danced with it and spinned around and around and around up to the point I even had to toss my cookies after the last take! As Ger McDonnell our producer always says: 'All for the art'.”
The new album is expected to be released in 2024. It is their body of work in two years since the 2022 album "Colors". - source : Apple Music
