Ann Arbor-based R&B/Soul singer-songwriter Dani Darling has delivered a new song “2:22” via SoundCloud.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut EP "Nocturne", which is expected be released in 2019.
The track is blending her soft vocals based on the electronic sound and produced by Australian producer OBE.
She has already filmed a music video for the song, which will be released shortly.
Dani Darling said of the song in a statement, "It's like when you have a good feeling about somebody and you look for clues that it's really real...even though you already know it is."
She said about the video, "How much of modern connection is imagined and how much of it is real? In the video, I wonder whether I've found a fellow dreamer, or just a dream. When you get lost in the music and my world of mood and moonlight, the answer, for the listener, begins to matter less and less."- Dani Darling is known as a collaborating artist with The Black Opera as Soul Galaxy Girl, and performs with her band of "Darlings".
Her music is an old soul, merging nostalgic jazz with a new style of lo-fi R&B/soul, inspired by the likes of Jamila Woods, Aaliyah and Billie Holiday.
She will perform at Dreamland Theater in on November 16th and Ziggy's along with Day Oshee and Electric Blanket on December 7th.
