Dirty Projectors Premieres New Music Video for “Up in Hudson”
American experimental rock band Dirty Projectors dropped a new music video for "Up in Hudson" directed by Encyclopedia Pictura.
The song is included on their self-titled seventh studio album, which was released on February 21, 2017.
In the video, the casting are Ice Skater Woman: Rachel Reynolds, Ice Skater Man: RJ Wolfe, RV Man 1: Greg McNamee, RV Man 2: Jim Trenton, Gas Station Woman: Kiani del Valle and Gas Station Man: Hansel Ramirez.
Director Encyclopedia Pictura said about the video;
"Through four very different couples, the arc of a relationship is portrayed in its stages of growth, death, and rebirth. To unite our characters as we weave through their stories, we tried to present their vulnerabilities in a surreal way, right on the surface, in their faces."- Dirty Projectors was formed by David Longstreth in 2002, with major contributions from guitarist/vocalist Amber Coffman from 2007 to 2013.
The band debuted with a first album "The Glad Fact" in 2003. Since then, the band has released eight full-length albums.
In 2008, the group collaborated with Björk to perform as part of a charity concert to benefit Housing Works, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing shelter for homeless men, women, and children suffering from AIDS. - source : Rolling Stone
