Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Jackie Venson Premieres New Music Video for “Flying”
Last month, Austin-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Jackie Venson released a new song "Flying" via SoundCloud.
On August 15, she dropped a new music video for "Flying" directed by Megan Cardwell. The video draws three childhood friends' life and friendship.
The song is taken from her upcoming third EP "Transcends", which is expected to be released on September 30, 2017.
The track features her incredible guitar solo, also she released live video for the song on July 7.
She embarks her own tour to promote the new EP along with Gary Clark Jr. at RAS Day Festival in Austin, TX on August 18 through March 2018. Learn more about tour dates, click here.
About the new video, she said;
"Flying is about universal love and the fact that we are all connected. The video is about 3 different characters who spent their childhoods together but grew up and found themselves in very different places. When they meet again as adults, it's as though they were picking up right where they left off. Jackie Venson debuted in 2013 after graduation Berklee and released two EP "The Unreleased" and "Rollin’ On EP". In 2014, she released a debut album "The Light in Me".
In the same yer, she held a concert as Jackie Venson Day at Austin City Hall in her honor to raise money for an Austin music school.
