Don Broco Releases New Music Video for “Uber”
- British rock band Don Broco will release their upcoming fourth studio album “Amazing Things” on October 22, 2021 via SharpTone Records.
It is their first album in three years. Originally slated for release on September 17th, COVID-19-related vinyl delays forced the band to reschedule the release date.
From the album, the band unveiled a new song “Uber” on September 3, 2021. The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds.
Followed by, the music video for the song was premiered on September 13th. Directed by Jack Lilley.
Frontman Rob Damiani shared on social media, “This was the first song we started writing for the album a few years ago touring the States. Within the space of a week three separate ‘Uber’ drivers were openly racist in front of us, I guess assuming as white guys we’d share their views. ‘Uber’ is about being angry about that, being angry that racists seem to be growing in confidence to speak their hate in public and it’s a reminder to me to call out that discrimination whenever I see it.”
- The band explained of the album delay, “Hey guys, we’ve got some important news to share with you regarding the upcoming release of our album Amazing Things. We’ve been told this week that due to Covid related vinyl delays, we have no choice but to delay the release date to 22nd October.
We want everyone to be able to experience Amazing Things all at the same time and are gutted we have to wait a little longer, but promise it’s going to be worth it. Thank you so much to everyone who’s pre-ordered the album so far.
Unfortunately this means our in-store signings at HMV won't go ahead. We understand that HMV will be in contact directly with any fans who were planning to come. Our Banquet Records show at Pryzm in Kingston will be rescheduled, news to follow.
This has given us the opportunity to restock some of the sold out & low stock vinyl variants, incl. the Manchester Super Reds special edition back on our store now. Thanks so much for your understanding & support, watch out for the Uber video coming this week x”
