American singer-songwriter Camila Cabello appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform Olivia Rodrigo's “Good 4 U” and her latest song “Don't Go Yet”.
“Good 4 U” was released by American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo back in May, as the third single off of her debut album “SOUR”. The song reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles chart.
Also, it was nominated for Best Pop and Song of Summer at MTV Video Music Awards 2021.
“Don't Go Yet” is the lead single from Camila Cabello's upcoming third studio album ”Familia”.
She first performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on July 23.
She said of the song, “Me, Mike Sabath, and Scott Harris were working out of my house and my dog was there, which prompted Mike Sabath to do this thing where he went 'Oh, this guy is here.' He said something like that, we were listening back to that and we were like, 'Oh, I think that's the chorus.' It was actually, 'Oh, he came on the track! This is fire!' And then we flew to New York and Pedrito – who's also in the music video, he and Mike are playing the drums. Mike knew Pedrito really well and Pedrito has a band of musicians and they ended up playing on the song, and doing the gang vocals.”
The new album is set to be released in October 2021.
