Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Finn Matthews released his second single of 2021 called “Beautiful Stranger” along with a music video, following “Runnin' Away”.
He wrote the song with Lofton Shaw. The track is inspired by Billie Eilish's “Everything I Wanted”.
Finn Matthew said, “I wrote the song with my friend Lofton [Shaw]. We were listening to ‘Everything I Wanted’ by Billy Eilish. We heard that pumping piano, which inspired the synth you hear at the beginning of ‘Beautiful Stranger.’ Obviously, the song developed into a completely different track than the Billie Eilish song, but that’s what sparked us to write it.”
He said of the song, “The song is about the feeling of freedom that comes when you don’t attach yourself to the things around you, allowing yourself to experience people and things without feeling threatened by the idea of not having it forever. things in your life are always going to come and go, and this song is dedicated to being completely present in each moment.”- source : Spotify
