British singer-songwriter Jasmine Van den Bogaerde, aka Birdy has released a new music video for “Little Blue”.
She shot the video at the house in Topanga Canyon. Directed by Lotta Boman.
Birdy shared on social media, “the official video for little blue is out now! 💙 It was filmed in Topanga Canyon at the house I was staying in whilst writing Young Heart ✨ i think it might be my favourite of the beautiful vids Lotta Boman has made for the album.”
The song is included on her fourth studio album “Young Heart”, and written by Jasmine Van den Bogaerde and Bastian Langebaek.
Birdy told Apple Music about the song, “I realized Joni Mitchell has a song called ‘Little Green’ on her Blue album and thought, ‘This is going to look like I’ve copied that.’ But it was completely by mistake. This song is about grief, and, to me, it’s probably the saddest song on the record. A breakup is close to grief, because you can’t talk to this person anymore—it’s like they’ve completely disappeared. It's also about not wanting to let go of the sadness.
