American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande performed “safety net” on VEVO live series along with American singer-songwriter Ty Dolla $ign, following “pov”.
The video was directed by Micah Bickham, who also directed previous performance.
The song is included on her sixth studio album “Positions”, which was released last October.
It was written by Sylus, Leon Thomas III, Khristopher Riddick-Tynes, TBHits, Ty Dolla $ign and Ariana Grande.
Ariana Grande told Zach Sang, “He walked in and loved what he was hearing and I was like “Well this is a perfect time and place for us to do something together” and I always wanted to, I'm a big fan and he's a great guy, so it just happened to work out. I think he just kind of sat down and loved what he was hearing and was like “Let's do this together.” and I was like “Yeah, that's great!”
Ty Dolla $ign said in an interview with Real 92.3 radio, “[She] wanted me to come through to the studio… We just wrote the song together right there on the spot. It was an honor to work with her and we got an amazing tune coming.”- source : YouTube
