I M U R Releases New Album “My Molecules”: Streaming
- Vancouver-based electro-pop trio I M U R, consisting of Jenny Lea, Mikey J Blige and Amine Bouzaher, released their third studio album “My Molecules” for the first time in three years via Distorted Muse.
The album comprises of 14-track, produced by Brodie Metcalfe.
The band members had been separated for four months due to COVID-19, by the time they met back up in the summer 2020. Then they had built the recording studio in Mikey J Blige's basement and recorded the album.
I M U R shared on social media, “Every fibre of our being has gone into this album. 'My Molecules' is the sum total of our collective blood sweat and tears over the last year. We built a studio. We cried on the floor of that studio. We screamed at each other. We wrote 3 times as many songs as made it on this album. Mikey got WAY too high, which is, if you know him, surprising. We banged our heads against he wall. We re-recorded and re-wrote songs from the ground up, over and over, until we were not just happy, but could do no better. And, at the end of it at all, we have an album for you. Thank you for listening, always.”
