Alan Walker and Imanbek Team Up for New Song “Sweet Dreams”
Norwegian DJ Alan Walker and the 2021 Grammy Award winner, Kazakh DJ Imanbek teamed up to release a new song “Sweet Dreams”.
This marks the first collaboration between Alan Walker and Imanbek.
The track sampled Scatman John's 1994 song “Scatman (ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop)”. It was written by Alan Walker, Imanbek, Gunnar Greve Pettersen, Big Fred, Sören von Malmborg, Julia Karlsson, Anton Rundberg and Svidden.
The accompanying music video was directed by Mads Neset, who filmed in Dubai, and it was influenced by Roman gladiatorial matches.
Alan Walker said of the song, “Eurotrance and techno were popular when I was a kid, so it really reminds me of my earliest musical inspirations. We had a blast incorporating the iconic 'Scatman' chorus into 'Sweet Dreams', and we're really happy with how the track turned out.”
Imanbek added, “I'm extremely excited to team up with a very talented and cool music head from Norway. Alan Walker is not only a colleague – he's the originator of his own genre, so it is a real collab of two cultures and genres!”- source : Spotify
