BRELAND Teams Up With Keith Urban for New Song “Throw It Back”
- American singer-songwriter BRELAND teamed up with Australian country music singer-songwriter Keith Urban again to release a new song “Throw It Back”.
This marks the second collaboration between Breland and Keith Urban following “Out the Cage”, which is included on Keith Urban's eleventh album “The Speed of Now Part 1”
The track was written by BRELAND and Keith Urban. The accompanying music video was directed by Bobby Bruderle, who filmed it at Analog at Hutton Hotel in Nashville.
“You’ll be able to feel my and Keith’s energy flowing not only on the song but in the video, which we helped shape together as well,” BRELAND said of the song in a release. “With the world finally opening up, and live music coming back, I feel like we’ve got a real summer anthem on our hands.”
- “He's one of the only artists I've ever met that, he does not care at all what something sounds like or what box it fits ...," BRELAND said of Urban. “If he likes it, if it catches his ear, he wants to be a part of it in some way. He's been an outsider in Nashville, as someone who was literally from another country and kind of had his own sound at a time when that wasn't really all that popular, [and] he stuck it out ... So he knows what that feels like.”
He continued, “I love that he has always been kind of on the progressive and cutting edge of country music ... You can just kind of tell he's not really subscribing to any ideas outside of just what inspires him creatively. And I think that's the biggest thing for me, is just being able to see how freely he creates and how willing he is to push the conversation and the boundaries of what people would normally do. That's gonna stick with me for the rest of my career."
