JP Saxe Releases New Song “Like That”
- Canadian singer-songwriter JP Saxe released a new song “Like That” from his upcoming debut album “Dangerous Levels of Introspection” on May 7, 2021.
He wrote the song with his girlfriend Julia Michaels, and Ryan Marrone, who also produced the track.
The song follows up “Line by Line” featuring Maren Morris, which was released back in January.
JP Saxe said of the song, “I learned love in all kinds of new ways over the last year. Terrifying ways for the most part… but good terrifying. I didn't realize it when Julia and I wrote 'Like That', but I think it's unintentionally very connected to the first song we ever wrote, 'if the world was ending.' That song is about who you would want to be with if everything went to shit. This song is about who was with you when everything did go to shit.”
He shared on social media, “LIKE THAT!!! it's out it's personal its somethin I really love and I wrote it with my favorite human Julia Michaels and Ryan Marrone produced Benjamin Rice vocal produced, both also extremely high quality humans aaaaand imo there's a whole lot of humanness in this song soooo I hope it makes u feel things! its track 2 on the album.... this is technically the first post of my album roll out.... shits exciting.”
The debut album comprises of 15-track, featuring guest appearances from Julia Michaels and Maren Morris. It is set to be released June 25, 2021.
