  • Carly Pearce Announces New Album “29”, Drops New Song “Should've Known Better”

  • American country music singer-songwriter Carly Pearce announced her upcoming seven-song collection “29” will be released on February 19, 2021.

The album follows up her self-titled second album, which was released last February.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “Should've Known Better” on February 5th.
It was written by Emily Shackelton, Jordan Reynolds and Carly Pearce. Produced by Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.
“I've discovered a lot about myself over the last year, wrestling with how not to assign so much blame for accepting or overlooking things that in the end, you should've known,” Carly Pearce shared on social media. “This song is about finding peace in all kinds of relationships as you figure them out, and hopefully, you're better for the next.”
  • “29” came from a difficult time in her life marked by the sudden loss of her producer busbee, as well as her divorce from a country artist Michael Ray.
“Losing busbee was a jolt. He was my champion before anyone believed… and then came the divorce, something I never saw coming,” she explained. “In that grief, I started swimming to save myself from the sadness then realized I found something even deeper. 29 came from that recognition. I got back to myself, to my roots, to my truth and then the songs just kept spilling out. I was so excited that I wanted to share them with you to introduce you to who I've always been and who I am as an artist a person and a woman who understands. I am Carly Pearce. This is 29.”
