You Me At Six Releases New Song “Adrenaline”
- British rock band You Me At Six will release their 7th studio album “SUCKAPUNCH” on January 15, 2021. It is their first LP in three years.
From the album, the band dropped the fourth single “Adrenaline” on January 1st, following “MAKEMEFEELALIVE”, “Beautiful Way” and “Suckapunch”.
The track was written by You Me At Six, Corey Sanders and Jon Maguire.
Frontman Josh Franceschi shared on social media, “ADRENALINE is about understanding and accepting the capacity we all have as humans to have split personalities. Coming to terms with the idea of codependency.”
The band recorded the album in Thailand last year. The album comprises of 11-track, produced by Dan Austin.
Josh Franceschi said to Annie Mac with BBC Radio 1, “Every song was a win on the board, another soundbite of another victory we just had.”
Josh Franceschi told NME about the album last September, “We knew this had to be an important record for us. We knew that we had to make music that said something, otherwise you get into the territory of making stuff that's just self-servicing. You don't want to be throwing out an album just so you can tour. We've done some pretty remarkable things, considering where we started and how long we thought we'd be around for. I was treating this record as my last You Me At Six record so I gave it everything I had left with the agenda that I wouldn't be making another one. Things have changed and moved on from there though. We've already done a lot, and there's so much that we believe we can still do and say but it's about only doing so if we're ready to present it in an interesting way. With 'SUCKAPUNCH', we've done that.”
