Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Cyn Releases New Song “Uh-Oh” from Emerald Fennell's New Film “Promising Young Woman” Soundtrack
American singer-songwriter Cyn joined in an upcoming black comedy thriller film “Promising Young Woman” soundtrack.
She contributed two songs “Uh-Oh” and “Drinks” for the film.
From the soundtrack, she released “Uh-Oh” on November 12th. It was written by Cyn, Matias Mora and Mia Minichiello.
In addition to Cyn, the soundtrack features FLETCHER, Maya B, Charli XCX, Carmen DeLeon, Donna Missal, MUNA, DeathbyRomy, Madeleine, Paris Hilton, DeathbyRomy, BLESSUS, Sky Ferreira, Juice Newton, Merrilee Rush and Anthony Willis.
The film was directed by Emerald Fennell, starring Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Clancy Brown, Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, and Laverne Cox.
The film was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival back in January. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 25th.
“Working with Emerald was seamless,” Cyn told Refinery29. “She sent me an email with lyric ideas and had a very clear idea of how the song should relate to the movie. The lyric ‘if it happened to you, what would you do?’ was taken directly from Emerald’s notes.”
