AURORA Covers Alanis Morissette's “Thank U”
- Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA joined in the upcoming album “Good Night Songs For Rebel Girls”.
The album celebrates extraordinary women in music and created in partnership with Rebel Girls, featuring Amy Wadge, Anastacia, Ani DiFranco, Anoushka Shankar, AURORA, Beth Orton, Elodie, Imelda May, Jess Gillam, Joan Jett, KT Tunstall, Lubiana, Macy Gray, Marie White, Pomme, Skye, Somin and Tank and the Bangas.
The album draws inspiration from the girl-driven narrative of the New York Times-bestselling book series and podcast, “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls” to empower and uplift girls around the world through music.
“Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls” is a series of two children's books, aimed at ages six and up. The books were funded through the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.
The books feature short stories about 100 real women who can be role models to children. “Good Night Stories” has sold over one million copies.
From the album, AURORA released a cover of Alanis Morissette's “Thank U” on October 23rd.
“Thank U” was released by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette in 1998, from her fourth studio album “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie”.
The album “Good Night Songs For Rebel Girls” is set to be released on November 27, 2020.
