Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Emma Rena has delivered a new song “Roxanne” via SoundCloud and other streaming music services.
The song is her third single, following “Armageddon” and “God Says Joke's on You”. Produced by jacob.but.happy.
Also the song will appear on her upcoming debut EP “RIP Emma Rena”, which is expected to be released later this year.
Emma Rena said of the song, “My mom has had cancer twice and recently had a health scare. I was in a complete panic and wrote this song about her. I didn’t know how else to deal with my emotions. Also, I decided to pitch my vocal up because hearing the news made me feel like I was 10 again. When she first had cancer.”
She explained about her voice on the song, “sooo some of you guys asked if my voice changed lol. roxanne is just pitched up. fact i actually recorded roxanne super slow and then sped it up to make it sound like what it does now 😌”- source : A1234
