Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Cristóvam Releases New Song “Setting Sun”
Portugal singer-songwriter Cristóvam has released a new song “Setting Sun” with an accompanying music video.
The song his second single of 20202, following “Andrà tutto bene” released back in April.
The video was directed by Pedro Varela, who shot in the Azores during September 2020.
Cristóvam said of the song, “I started writing it in 2018, when I was on a holiday with my girlfriend in Sardinia, and sort of left it there. But this year, with all that's happening and the world being such a strange place, somehow those lyrics resonated back with me,and the fact that I felt so lucky to find comfort in my own little corner, far out in the middle of the Atlantic.”
Cristóvam has seen success having won first prize in the “Unsigned Only” category for the International Songwriting Competition 2018.
His debut album “Hopes & Dreams” was released in 2018. This year, he has won two International Portuguese Music Awards (Pop Performance and Song of the Year).- source : Vacancy Magazine
