Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Marina Kaye Shares New Song “7 Billion”
French singer-songwriter Marina Kaye will release her sophomore album “Twisted” on November 6, 2020.
The album is her first LP in three year and features 11-track.
“The entire album is based on what’s happening inside my head,” Marina Kaye said of the album in a statement. “Each song describes what I’m going through as a young woman: Love, Fear, Anger, Revenge, Passion… I wrote and recorded 90% of the album with David Stewart and Jessica Agombar in London. I never left the studio without a new song, there’s a real chemistry in the studio whenever the three of us are together.”
The album title track was released in September 2019 as the first single. Followed by, “The Whole 9” was released earlier this year.
Last month, she dropped “Double Life” and “7 Billion”. Marina Kaye told Atwood Magazine about recent songs, “They all represent different aspects of my personality. This is what the album is about. Each song is about something I’ve been through in my life or a strong feeling I’ve had.”
On October 6th, she shared a lyric video for “7 Billion”. The track was produced by David Stewart.
She said of the song, “7 Billion” was inspired by one of the relationships I had in the past. It felt right to stay in a relationship that was as poisonous as it was destructive for the both of us.”- source : Atwood Magazine
