The Hamiltones Releases New Album “1964”: Streaming
- American R&B trio The Hamiltones released their new album “1964” on August 28, 2020.
The album commemorates The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and contains 11-track featuring guest appearances from Ricco Barrino and Petey Pablo.
The Hamiltones said of the album, “We made this album to reflect the current movement and commemorate those that have struggled in this fight for freedom before us. This is our soundtrack.”
According to a press release, “The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was considered a landmark achievement of the Civil Rights Movement. While there's still much more progress to be made in the fight for racial justice and equality 56 years later, we're now witnessing another historical moment in Black history. Today (8/28/2020), on the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic 'I Have A Dream' speech at the March on Washington and the 65th anniversary of the high-profile death of Emmett Till, The Hamiltones reflects this moment in history with the release of their powerful new album 1964.”
It was recently announced that the album will also serve as the official soundtrack for the Restore Black Wall Street 2021 campaign.
