American singer-songwriter Kehlani has shared a new music video for “Bad News” directed by Hyphy Williams (her alias).
The track is included on her sophomore album “It Was Good Until It Wasn't” released back in May.
She wrote a song from inspiration her father's death. Kehlani tweeted, “man this is one of my favorites ever. wow. this song makes me cry. if you ever dated someone wit a street lifestyle or jus an unsafe one in general… u know the fears. i know how my mama felt about my daddy. till this day.”
The new album is her first LP in three years. Kehlani revealed that Drake helped her name the album. “We're just having, like, a life conversation, talking about the old music, talking about what we're both 'bout to do,” she told Nadeska Alexis on Apple Music. “And then I was just talking about [my] personal life and I was just like, 'Man, yeah it was good until it wasn't' and he was like, 'Say that shit again,' and I was like 'What?' and he was like 'That's your album.' And I was like, 'You might be fuckin' right.'”- source : Billboard
