James Newman Releases New Song “Enough”
- Back in February, the BBC announced that London-based singer-songwriter James Newman would represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He was supposed to participate with the song “My Last Breath”. but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
James Newman said, “I started something and I really want to finish it. I was on such a journey. If I got the opportunity to go next year I would love to”
Following “My Last Breath”, he released a new song “Enough” with an accompanying music video directed by Charlie Lightning on May 15th.
“I think the idea of it originally was like, when you’re in a relationship you need to nurture it and keep topping it up with love,” he said of the song. “When I came to think about putting a new single out now I was thinking well, the lyrics for me now have taken on a different kind of role, but they still mean so much to me because I was thinking about parents, grandparents and people that are isolated alone that you have a relationship with needs to be nurtured.”
He plans to release his debut album including the new song this year.
