Clay and Kelsy Releases New Song “I Miss You”
Los Angeles-based electronic pop duo Clay and Kelsy, consisting of Clay Burton and Kelsy Kemper, released the second single called “I Miss You” from their upcoming debut EP “I Am” on September 26, 2024.
The EP will be released as the first of a 3 part series in 2024 and comprises 5 songs.
The song shares the common experiences of rising artists who feel alienated from loved ones, shedding light on a feeling that can be so suffocating and lonely.
It was written by Clay Burton and Kelsy Kemper.
The duo said of the song, “We all have someone we miss, someone we've lost—not to grief, but by choice. 'I Miss You' is for the person you could call but don't, those no longer in your life yet still alive. Once bright flames burning daily for years.”
They added, “‘I Miss You’ is in the vein of I can’t change you, and I can’t be around you, but no matter how much I can’t, I still love you from the deepest parts that I can. And I always will.”- The duo shared on social media, “This is our final release before the album! With everything happening—elections, wars, so much division—it’s ironic how emotions can evolve over time. Even saying 'I miss you' means something entirely different depending on who or what you’re thinking about. Catastrophic love. But this song has been healing in undeniable ways, and it was also fun as f*ck to make.”
