Rag'n'Bone Man Premieres New Song “Rush Of Blood” on BBC Radio 1
British singer-songwriter Rag'n'Bone Man premiered a new song “Rush Of Blood” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the follow-up to “What Do You Believe In?”, which was released back in May.
Both songs will appear on his upcoming third studio album “What Do You Believe In?”, which is set to be released on October 18, 2024.
Rag'n'Bone Man said of the album, “It’s a representation of how I feel in this moment, at this time in my life – it represents joy, love and happiness. You’ve got to take people on a bit of a journey - It’s basically real life. Songwriting is always an extension of my emotions.”
The track was written by Dan Priddy, David Sneddon, Mark Crew, and Rory Graham. Produced by Mark Crew and Dan Priddy.
Rag'n'Bone Man told Jack Saunders about the song, “This song was inspired by '70s and '80s funk and disco music.”- He continued, “To be honest, this is one of the only songs that I've written like this. In terms of like, I'm always very much like lyric first. And I know exactly what all the songs about, and then I approached the production part of it. This song. It was like, everyone's had too much coffee in the studio. And I was, like, referencing all these, like, different funk records that I love, like Rick James, Heatwave, Parliament and stuff like that. I was like, Oh, need to speed it up. Speed it up a little bit more. And then we kind of got to the point where the production part of it was nearly done, and I hadn't even got a lyric. So it was the opposite way around that I'm usually working, and I kind of just fit stuff in. It was like, I'll just come up with some cool words that fit.”
