  • The National Parks Releases New Song “Wild Spirit”

  • American indie folk-pop band The National Parks, consisting of Brady Parks (vocals/guitar), Sydney Macfarlane (vocals/keyboards), Cam Brannelly (drums), and Megan Parks (violin), released a new song “Wild Spirit” on May 17, 2024.

The song is the title track of their upcoming album “Wild Spirit”, which is expected to be released in 2024.
single of 2024, following “Timber!”, which was released back in February.
It was written by David Hodges, Brady Parks, and Ricky Manning. Produced by Scott Wiley.

The band said of the song, “Over the last year or so I felt lost in a lot of ways. It felt like I was on a journey, navigating a forest I had never been through before and feeling unsure of where I was going. I would lay awake at night feeling the weight of the unknown and the insecurity of being in a place in my life that felt so foreign and vast. I found that process to be truly scary, but through it I was able to also find it beautiful and freeing as I let go and embraced the journey and stepped into the unknown. Wild Spirit is about how life changes. We’re all hiking our own paths, constantly evolving, learning, growing and taking uncharted steps in the ever-changing wilderness of our lives. I guess I came to the realization that sometimes getting lost is the best way to find yourself.”
  • The band shared on social media, “This song has felt special to us from the beginning. It's about leaving your comfort zone behind, facing the unknown and charting your own path. It's about getting lost, finding yourself and feeling free. So go blast it with the windows down as you make your way to wherever the road takes you. Go get lost in the woods. Sit around campfires and stargaze with your friends. Go make memories you'll never forget. Live this life to fullest and embrace your wild spirit. This song was meant for you.”
