Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Winnetka Bowling League Releases New Song “Sha La La”
Los Angeles-based alt-rock band Winnetka Bowling League, consisting of Matthew Koma (vocals/guitar), Kris Mazzarisi (drums) and Sam Beresford (Keyboard), released a new song “Sha La La” on February 22, 2024.
The song follows up the 2023 single “Breakfast For Dinner”, which made its debut as the end credits theme song from Adam Sandler's hit film “You are So Not Invited to my Bat Mitzvah”.
The track was written and produced by Matthew Koma. Te accompanying music video was directed by regular collaborator Zack Sekuler.
The band frontman Matthew Koma said of the song, “‘Sha La La’ is a song about getting older, romanticizing the past, and forgetting all the imperfections that accompanied the highlights. It’s really easy for me to look back and wish I could relive certain moments because time and distance have allowed them to be polished and refined. It’s funny how you can create this false memory of how things were, almost only for the purpose of making you feel terrible about the here and now.”- Photo by Diego Andrade
