French singer-songwriter Eddy de Pretto dropped a new music video for “urgences 911” directed by Arthur King on February 21, 2024.
The song is featured on third studio album “CRASH CŒUR”, which was released in November 2023.
But he released the 6-track EP “urgences 911” along with the release of the music video.
The track depicts the joys and sufferings of love, when confronted with mourning.
The song is inspired by the funeral of a teacher Agnès Lassalle, who was stabbed to death by one of her students.
Her husband, Stéphane Voirin, dedicated a last dance to his wife, to the Nat King Cole song “LOVE”, in front of her coffin at her funeral.
"When I came across the video of a man starting a last dance, alone, during his wife's funeral, I am directly moved and an existential question arises for me: will we always dance together, even after death?", Eddy de Pretto said of the song in a press release. “Do our hearts always continue to dance? This unanswered question was a real driving force for the writing of this piece, to try to poetize a painful situation. Trying to putting a touch of hope on the worst.”- source : Apple Music
