Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Scarlett Lee Releases New Song “One For You”
Earlier this month, British singer-songwriter Scarlett Lee joined forces with Pontifexx and Antônio Oliva for a collaborative song “Hands of Time (My of my)”.
Following the song, she released a new song “One For You” on February 16, 2024.
The song is her first solo single in two years, since the debut song "Love Shy" and Christmas song "My Christmas Wish".
The track was written by Matthew Adam Fisher, Megan Anne Dawn Peters, and Scarlett Daisy Lee. Produced by Matthew Fisher.
The single signifies both a sonic solidification as well as a personal transition, having experienced an extremely painful break-up, she was subsequently confronted with a bout of anxiety and depression.
“When I woke up with those lyrics repeating in my head, I realised that music was my therapy,” Scarlett Lee said of the song. “This song for me specifically highlights the fact that we all go through difficult things in life and there are many battles so many of us have to face along the way, but it's how we use these situations to turn it into something beautiful that truly matters.”- Photo by Megsy Peters
