Toronto-based R&B singer-songwriter Taahira Aquiyla Duff, aka Aqyila released a new song “Bloom” on February 9, 2024.
The song is the second single of 2024, following the release of “Effortlessly” last month.
She recorded the song with producer Jonathan Elkær last November.
The track was written by Jonathan Elkær, Maya J'an Brown, and Taahira Duff.
The song is a poignant romantic anthem, grounded in soothing, soft melodies exploring the bliss of love.
Aqyila said of the song, “It's a love song that reminds you why you love the person that you're with. Why they're your safe space on your hardest days. Writing this song just gave me chills, it instantly felt special. I see it as a wedding song.”
She added, “I hope this song makes you feel a love that is as pure as how it sounds.”
Aqyila is nominated for Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year with the EP “for For the Better” and Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year with “Hello” at the 2024 JUNO Awards.- source : Apple Music
