Only The Poets Premieres New Song “One More Night” on BBC Radio 1
British alt-pop band Only The Poets, consisting of Tommy Longhurst (vocals/guitar), Andrew 'Andy/Roo' Burge (bass), Clem Cherry (guitar) and Marcus Yates (drums), premiered a new song “One More Night” on BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Mollie King.
The song is the follow-up to “Every God I Pray To”, which was released last November.
The track was written by Charlie Martin, Corey Sanders, Joe Housley, and Tom Longhurst. Produced by King Ed, Clem Cherry, and Marcus Yates.
The band frontman Tommy Longhurst said of the song, “It's a track about living in the moment. Remembering those nights where nothing else matters and everything felt like it was going to be okay. Those nights, that unknown to you at the time, turned out to be one of the best moments of your life.”
He told Mollie King about the song, “The song is all about looking back when you were young, at a simpler time, just full of nostalgia.”- The band shared on social media, “It's a song about growing up, it's a song about those lost friends & the nights that shaped your life. But most importantly, it's a song for you to figure out yourself. We're immensely proud of this song and we hope you will be too. Hopefully see you there.”
