James Arthur Releases New Song “Bitter Sweet Love”
British singer-songwriter James Arthur will release his upcoming fifth studio album “Bitter Sweet Love” next week.
From the album, he released the title track as the final promotional single along with a music video on January 12, 2024.
The track was written by James Arthur, Jamie Graham, and Steven Solomon who also produced it.
the song was one of the first written by James Arthur after the release of his 2021 album “It'll All Make Sense in the End”.
James Arthur said of the song, "I love that it mashes up so many styles. It goes from an almost The 1975-like groove to a Kings of Leon-esque pre chorus, then back to funky groove. It’s been one of my favourites from the moment I wrote it. It’s about someone who has a hold on you, but whose presence in your life fucks you up. You’re maybe drawn to them for how they look, despite how they play with your head."
- The new album is due out on January 26, 2024. It is his first album in three years and comprises a 16-track, produced by Red Triangle and Steven Solomon.
James Arthur said of the album, “The more albums you make and the more success you have, the more the pressure tends to be upon you. But I genuinely felt like a kid again, just making music I loved, not worried about trying to please everyone.”
