Sheryl Crow Releases New Song “Evolution”
American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow will release her new album “Evolution” on March 29, 2024.
It is her first album in five years since the 2019 album “Threads”.
From the album, she released the title track on January 12, 2024.
The track was written by Sheryl Crow. Produced by Mike Elizondo and Scooter Weintraub.
On the track, she tells about the future impact of artificial intelligence on humanity and the planet.
Sheryl Crow said, “Stephen Hawking worried that A.I. would replace humans. As a mom, I want to leave a better world for my children, a healthier planet - is AI going to be a benevolent partner in these goals or not? It's unsettling, and this song deals with those anxieties.”- Also, American guitarist Tom Morello played a monolithic guitar solo on the track.
She said of the song, “I wrote the song with just me on guitar and vocals, sent it to Mike Elizondo and said, this is bigger than me, can you take a crack at it?”
She continued, “To me, Tom's playing comes from some other planet. It's a cool bit of kismet that we were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in the same year, and his solo on 'Evolution' just ejects you into space.” -
