Bathe Alone Releases New Song “Call Me Back”
Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Bathe Alone released a new song “Call Me Back” on December 15, 2023 via Nettwerk.
The song is the third single since her double EP “Fall With The Lights Down (Velma) & (Louise)”, which was released back in August.
The track tackles the feeling of wanting to call someone who is no longer in your life, features real voicemails that folks have left twentysomething visionary Bailey Crone.
It was written by Bailey Jackson, and Damon Moon who also produced the track.
Bathe Alone said of the song, “This was the first thing I wrote when my marriage officially ended. Naturally, I was starting to reflect on everything that had happened, and I was thinking about how long I had been with this person - literally half of my life.”- She continued, “I started listening to these old voicemails on my phone - I was in a purging state, trying to clean up my life in the simple ways that I could. Hearing all these voice mails from people that I never called back made me think... Would I be one of these voicemails to him now? Would he even call me back? When I found the voicemails from my grandmother, it crushed me. This longing feeling of wishing someone would call you back - I realized she had those feelings with me. Those voicemails were from years ago. We were having a strangely parallel experience, and I thought that was an interesting emotion to explore in the song.”
