Bleachers Drops New Music Video for “Alma Mater” featuring Lana Del Rey, Clairo, Margaret Qualley & More
American rock band Bleachers has dropped a new music video for “Alma Mater” directed by Alex Lockett.
The song was released as the second single from their upcoming self-titled album last month, featuring American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, who co-wrote and co-produce with Jack Antonoff.
On the video, the band founder Jack Antonoff is driving around the streets of New Jersey in the dead of night.
The video features Bleachers, Bartees Strange, Lana Del Rey, Clairo, Rachel Antonoff, Rick Antonoff, Shira Antonoff, and Jack Antonoff's wife and American actress Margaret Qualley.- Jack Antonoff told Zane Lowe of Apple Music about the song, “Sometimes you want people to feel like something almost sounds unattainable, and sometimes you want people to feel like they're just in a room with you. And so if I want it to feel like I'm just talking to someone or we're in a room together, then I like to add things like random scratch takes or noises that remind you that you're not in a heightened environment. A song like this, I want it to be like I'm sitting on your basement floor with you.”

The new album is set to be released on March 8, 2024 and comprises a 14-track.
It is the first release under their new label Dirty Hit.
According to a press release, the album is as “Antonoff's distinctly New Jersey take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life, on his position in culture, and on the things he cares about. Sonically, it's sad, it's joyful, it's music for driving on the highway to, for crying to and for dancing to at weddings.”
