Diplo & Maren Morris Team Up for New Song “42”
American DJ Diplo teamed up with American singer-songwriter Maren Morris to release a new song “42” on December 8, 2023 via his own label Higher Ground.
This marks the first collaboration between Diplo and Maren Morris.
The track was written by Thomas Wesley Pentz, Jamison Baken, Emeric Boxall, David J, Tyler Spry, and Ryan Tedder.
Produced by Leclair, Maesic, and Ryan Tedder.
For Diplo, the song is the follow-up to “Stay High” with French DJ HUGEL and London-based South African singer-songwriter Julia Church, which was released last month.
While Maren Morris joined in the song after the collaborative song “Some Things I'll Never Know” with American singer-songwriter Teddy Swims.
Diplo shared on social media, “Been workin on this song with Maren Morris over text & zoom for a minute.... and swipe to see Ryan Tedder's zoom username (he named himself that 'BITHCH')” Maren Morris answered, “How did I not notice that until just now”.
