Glassio Releases New Song “Will You Still Come Back Tomorrow?” featuring Rodes Rollins & Mumble Tide
Brooklyn-based Irish-Iranian singer-songwriter Sam R, aka Glassio released a new song “Will You Still Come Back Tomorrow?” on December 6, 2023.
The song consists of a 4-track single, which meant to be listened to from start to finish, outlining the 4-stages of a long goodbye.
This time, he teamed up with American singer-songwriter Rodes Rollins and Bristol-based alt bedroom pop duo Mumble Tide on the track.
The track was written and produced by Sam R.
Glassio said of the song, “I wanted to create a little micro-universe with single that extended beyond a 3-4 minute song. I've never done a 4-track single release before, but I felt like this song and its story required a bit of a saga. I wanted to highlight the different stages/phases a person goes through in the process of letting something go, or recovering from loss. Each of the songs on this single package represent one of those stages.”
- He continued, “Writing this one back in 2022 was my way of saying goodbye to a very dark era in my life. I felt a huge weight was lifted off of my chest working on this one. I wanted to pack it up with all of the love in me. So thankful to have Mumble tide and Rodes Rollins on the track - who both helped arrange the vocals and guitar sounds. Working with these huge talents was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my year.”
Glassio explained about four tracks.
Track 1: The boisterous, beckoning and anthemic promise to change
Track 2: The lonely, Tuesday night journal entry wishing things hadn't fallen apart
Track 3: The realization of how small your problems are in the world, and how fleeting life is.
Track 4: The last breath of missing someone before finally moving on.
