ONUKA Drops New Music Video for “OZERNA”
Ukrainian electro-folk band ONUKA has dropped a new music video for “OZERNA”.
The song is featured on their fourth studio album “ROOM”, which was released back in July.
The band shared on social media, “Finally. Ozerna. Against time and rules. Just an impulse and mood, created by what was at hand together with Only Art Space. Today I love to show how my music sounds.”
The video was filmed in Lukashivka of the Chernihiv region.
“In recent years, the Chernihiv region has literally magnetized me, essentially drawing me back to my grandfather's home. With the onset of a full-scale invasion, this magnetism intensified, as did the pain for the homeland where terrible events took place,” The band lead singer Nata Zhyzhchenko said of the video. “Chernihiv not only inspires me, giving me creative vigor, but also generously introduces me to new interesting, artistic, conscious, and extraordinarily talented people who live here.”- She continued, “Consequently, the album ROOM was recorded with the help of its members, choir, musicians, and is essentially permeated with the creativity of Chernihiv artists. But the most interesting part of this collaboration, in my opinion, was the embodiment of the idea to create a music video without a budget and additional resources, using what's “at hand”. We had never filmed like this before! It was a challenge to ourselves, and we believe we rose to it admirably.”

The new album comprises 10-track. It is their first album in two years since the 2021 album “KOLIR”.
Nata Zhyzhchenko said of the album, “The title 'ROOM' symbolizes a place or space for self-realization, understanding one's experience and problems, but at the same time—a space for dreams and development. Each track of the album is dedicated to Ukrainians today and addresses the issues of our present: national-level PTSD, forced relocation, loss of loved ones, loss of home, housing, purpose, work, or even personal space. Because our own space is what 'room' is all about.” - source : Apple Music
