The National Drops New Animated Music Video for “Laugh Track” featuring Phoebe Bridgers
American rock band The National, consisting of Matt Berninger (vocals), Aaron Dessner (guitar), Bryan Devendorf (drums), Scott Devendorf (bass) and Bryce Dessner (guitar), has dropped a new animated music video for “Laugh Track”.
The song features American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers, and is featured on their tenth studio album of the same name.
The album was mostly written and recorded alongside their earlier 2023 album “First Two Pages of Frankenstein”, with several songs being re-recorded at producer Tucker Martine's studio.
Phoebe Bridgers also joined in “First Two Pages of Frankenstein”, in which she performed “This Isn't Helping”.
The track was written by Aaron Dessner and Matt Berninger. Produced by The National.
The video was directed by Bernard Derriman, who recently helmed The Bob’s Burgers Movie.
The band frontman Matt Berninger said of Bridgers in a statement, “Her voice is the soft edge of the song. It takes some of the snarky, sarcastic bitterness out of it and makes it sweet and gentle.”- Photo by Graham MacIndoe
