  • Biig Piig Premieres New Song “Watch Me” on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based Irish singer-songwriter Biig Piig premiered a new song “Watch Me” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Sian Eleri.

The song follows up her debut mixtape “Bubblegum”, which was released back in January. Also, the song will appear on her upcoming project.
On the track, she worked with producer Zach Nahome, who produced her 2020 single “Switch” and “Kerosene” of the mixtape.
The track was written by Jessica Smyth, Michael Stafford, and Zach Nahome, who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Biig Piig and NWSPK.
Biig Piig told about the song, “So basically, I mean, I've worked with obviously I've worked with Zach Nahome. Before, he did 'Kerosene' and 'Switch' with me. He's an incredible producer. And his whole mentality is 'Let's go and let's throw things at the wall. Let's have fun with it. Let's figure it out.' And with this truck weirdly we made a completely different song that day. And we're like this is sick that like vibe is great that had over like, say something in it that we haven't tapped into.”
  • She continued, “So we started playing with this like crazy bass sound. It was like scratchy, like itchy was just like, very gravelly. So I was like, Okay, let me jam over it. For a bit it was just that and started to put melodies over it kind of thinking like oh, there's nothing I'm gonna find over this because so like, kind of intense and then suddenly found the hook and I was like, actually wait. And we all kind of like for a minute, meaning like what is going on, it's so like sick.”
She added, “Followed it and then you had the track kind of we kept a super simple there's like, not a lot going on but I don't feel like there has to be. Because it just feels like the right feeling. It's just like a moment in time of just like capturing that emotion. And then we went off for an apple spritz and came back, and we're like, this is so sick.”
