Marika Hackman Releases New Song “Slime”
London-based singer-songwriter Marika Hackman has released a new song “Slime” on November 7, 2023.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming fifth studio album “Big Sigh”, which is set to be released on January 12, 2024.
The track was written and produced by Marika Hackman with production by Charlie Andrew and Sam Petts-Davies.
The accompanying music video was co-directed by Marika Hackman and Anne-Sofie Lindgaard.
Marika Hackman said of the song in a statement, “'Slime' tracks the excitement of falling in love, tinged with the chaos of watching the fallout from it happen around you.”
She continued, “It's a reflection of the destruction that can be caused when you get together with someone and there are other factors at play. On the one hand you have a new thing that's really exciting and hot and lusty but there can also be a lot of storm clouds floating around, a lot of fall-out socially.”
