The Valmonts Announces Debut EP “Living In A Paranoid Trance”, Shares New Song “Cry & Get a Little Drunk”
Dublin-based Indie-rock band The Valmonts, consisting of Darragh Whyte (vocals/guitar), Keith Whyte (drums), Cathal Sweeney (guitar), and Tymek Kocurkiewicz (bass), has announced their debut EP “Living In A Paranoid Trance” will be released on October 20, 2023 via Watts Hill Records.
From the EP, the band unveiled a new song “Cry & Get a Little Drunk” on September 15, 2023.
The track was written by Darragh Whyte, Keith Whyte, Cathal Sweeney and Tymoteusz Kocurkiewicz. Produced by Stuart Gray.
The lyrics are deeply relatable, focusing on a love-lost, refusing to give up, picking up the pieces and memories over a glass of wine.
The band said of the song, “This song came together in the most natural way possible. The four of us one day at rehearsal jamming. Darragh had some lyrics he had previously been working on and by the end of the day, we had a full new song. Recording it was a whole other story.
