The Paper Kites Releases New Song “June's Stolen Car”
Australian indie folk-rock band The Paper Kites, consisting of Sam Bentley (vocals/guitar/harmonica/mandolin), Christina Lacy (keyboard), David Powys (guitar), Samuel Rasmussen (bass) and Josh Bentley (drums), will release their upcoming sixth studio album “At the Roadhouse” on September 1, 2023.
From the album, the band released the final promotional single called “June's Stolen Car” on August 25, 2023.
The track was written by Sam Bentley among the red dirt and bushfire moons of Campbells Creek in Victoria, Australia.
Produced by Sam Bentley, and Matt Redlich. The accompanying live music video was directed by Keiran Watson-Bonnice.
The band said, “In July 2022, we played a month-long residency in the small Australian town of Campbells Creek - a year later we’re so thrilled to say that our new album ‘At The Roadhouse’ will be out next Friday! Here’s one last song from the record before it all comes out - it’s called ‘June’s Stolen Car’”
In line with releasing the album, the band will premiere the film of the same name at Lido Cinemas in Melbourne on September 1st and at Ritz Cinemas in Sydney on September 4th.- 83azhS_ZFmc
