Apryll Aileen Releases New Song “Our Time”
Canadian alt-pop singer-songwriter Apryll Aileen released a new song “Our Time” on August 9, 2023.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming sophomore album “Bad Things”, which is expected to be released in 2023.
The track was written by Apryll Aileen and produced by Corey LeRue. The accompanying music video was filmed by Benjamin Edwards, who shot at Cavendish Beach in Prince Edward Island National Park.
She was inspired to write the song by summer romance.
“People come into our lives for a small moment, a few years or a lifetime. Accepting the terms of the season, and appreciating the fun for what it is, is a beautiful way to keep the love and friendship alive,” Apryll Aileen said of the song. “I wanted "Our Time" to be lighthearted and free from the heaviness of heartbreak, like if Carrie from Sex and the City played piano and wrote love songs.”- She continued, “JUNO Award-winning electronic pop producer Corey LeRue (Neon Dreams, Ria Mae) turned it into a sing-along earworm with sweet island sounds and a danceable beat. The music video was filmed and edited by Benjamin Edwards. Cavendish Beach, Prince Edward Island National Park served as the perfect setting, with Maïa Davies (Ladies of the Canyon, Darkometro) on board as Artistic Director and Stylist.”
