JUNYOR Releases Debut Song “We Don't Dance”
Canadian singer-songwriter and formerly the lead singer of 4 Minutes Later, Andrew Goodwin, aka JUNYOR released a debut solo single “We Don't Dance” on July 14, 2023.
Andrew Goodwin said, “Formerly the lead singer of 4 Minutes Later, I felt the need to explore my artistic vision on a more personal level. Embracing my evolution as a musician, I've recently embarked on a new chapter as a solo artist, adopting the moniker JUNYOR.”
He continued, “This transition has allowed me to delve into uncharted territories, unleashing my creativity to craft an old-meets-new pop sound that reflects my growth and maturity as an artist.”
The track was written by Bradley J Simons, Brandon Unis, Andrew Goodwin, and Ryan Paldus. Produced by Bradley J Simons, Brandon Unis, and Andrew Goodwin.
He said of the song, “'We Don't Dance' is about losing a love and the stage you go through at the beginning of a breakup. It doesn't have to be sad but more reflective of the situation.”- He continued, “Co-written/produced at Velveteen with the immensely talented Brandon Unis and Brad Simons, I leaned hard into the retro-synth feels with some fun guitar to make everything feel bouncy. I felt the need to make sure that if the song was called “We Don't Dance,” it would make you want to do the opposite.”
He added, “Stepping outside of my comfort zone has been the best thing for my creativity, and I'm excited to share more music with you soon! 👯♀” - source : Apple Music
